Dear Friends and Colleagues,
It is with pride and pleasure that I announce you that the 50th Annual Meeting of the Association for European Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology AEPC will take place in Rome from 1st to 4th June 2016.
The AEPC meeting is the only congress specifically dedicated to Paediatric and Congenital Cardiology, which gathers specialists in the field from all over Europe and from around the world. Together with Paediatric Cardiologists, we expect Surgeons, Intensivists, Cardiologists involved in the care of adults with congenital heart disease, Psycologists and Nurses, in the programme and in the audience. A multidisciplinary approach to the wide area of Pediatric and Congenital Cardiology will offer a highly valuable scientific and educational programme to all professionals taking care of the increasing number of patients with congenital heart disease from fetal life to adulthood.
Innovation in every possible aspect will be the “fil rouge” of the meeting.
Improvements and changes in practice, performance and competence will be the main objectives of our gathering. Nanomedicine, disease modelling, and big data management in Paediatric Cardiology are new topics that will be added to our syllabus.
Up-to-date on failing heart, cardiomyopathies, new trends in arrhythmia and cardiac pacing, rehabilitation and physical activity, novelties in percutaneous treatment of cardiac lesions, hybrid approaches, minimally invasive surgery, long term prognosis will form the basis of our scientific programme, lectures and abstract sessions.
Working groups sessions and morphology demonstrations and anatomy-clinical correlation sessions on echocardiography and other imaging modalities will enrich the educational programme.
The fascinating Eternal City – Rome- will frame the scientific programme and your stay in Italy.
The 50th AEPC Annual Meeting cannot be missed: Rome cannot be missed!
You are all invited to attend and join me and the Organizing Committee in Rome next spring to refresh old friendships and build new collaborations !
